With the No. 22 jersey of their late friend and teammate Dorian Tursic in a place of honor, the Kent-Meridian boys basketball team came out playing hard Jan. 5 away against Tahoma, ultimately losing 71-68 in double overtime.
A candlelight vigil in honor of Dorian Tursic, the Kent-Meridian High School student who died early Sunday morning in a car crash, is planned for 6 p.m. Wednesday at French Field on the grounds of kent-Meridian High School. In addition, the flagpole in front of the school has been designated as a memorial spot where those who knew Tursic may place flowers and other items.
