Sprouters Northwest, Inc. of Kent, Washington is recalling its alfalfa sprout products (alfalfa sprouts, onion sprouts, and salad sprouts) because they may be linked to a recent outbreak of Salmonellosis in Oregon and Washington State.

Thunderbirds notch first preseason victory

The Seattle Thunderbirds have climbed into the preseason win column. Goalie Jacob DeSerrres made 41 saves on 44 shots – including 18 in each of the second and third periods – and four different players scored goals as the Thunderbirds hung on for a 4-3 victory against the Portland Winter Hawks Aug. 31 in their final game at the Everett Silvertips Preseason Tournament.
