The Kent Downtown Partnership has scheduled its Annual Spring Clean-Up Day for June 5.
Starting 8 a.m. at Kherson Park at Second and Gowe, this year’s event will be similar to those in years past – with teams of volunteers working to spruce up the city’s downtown core. All volunteers will be treated to a lunch at noon.
The day of volunteer work has been popular with a variety of local folks, whether they come out to help as teams of family members, civic groups or business employees.
Volunteers need to register by June 1, by e-mailing John Hinds at jhinds@kentstation.com.
