Anytime Fitness, a 24-hour co-ed fitness franchise in Kent, celebrated its grand opening on Monday afternoon with an open house and appearance by Seattle Seahawks mascot Blitz.
The gym opened this summer in the Kent Meridian Shopping Plaza, 13210 SE 240th St., Suite A1.
Blitz lifted weights, tried out a fitness class, got a massage from massage therapist Van Lazaga – who rents space at the gym – before joining owners Sean and Carmen Dettloff and Kent City Council President Bill Boyce for a ribbon cutting.
Nationwide, the average Anytime Fitness club has about 800 members. The gyms are staffed roughly 16 hours a day, but members can access the club whenever the like – even during unstaffed hours – using a computerized key-fob system.
Membership at one Anytime Fitness club gives members access to 2,400 clubs worldwide as well as access to AnytimeHealth.com, a comprehensive online wellness support system available.
Membership information is available at the club, by calling 253-518-0071 or by emailing KentWA@AnytimeFitness.com.
