CHI Franciscan Health, a health care provider in the Pacific Northwest, and CityMD, a large urgent care provider in the New York metro area, are joining forces to open the first urgent care centers of their kind in Kent and Seattle.
The centers will be the first of several sites in King and Pierce counties that are scheduled to open by early 2017.
The Kent center, at 12916 SE Kent-Kangley Road, will offer more than 10 exam rooms. It is expected to open in October.
Seattle’s state-of-the-art Ravenna center, at 6322 Roosevelt Way NE, will provide access to health care outside the emergency room. The site, which will have eight exam rooms, will open in August.
“We are thrilled to announce this partnership. We will open our first sites in the Ravenna neighborhood in Seattle and in Kent in the coming months,” said Ketul J. Patel, CHI Franciscan Health CEO. “We are eager to begin providing residents of Seattle and Kent access to CHI Franciscan’s first-class care and patient-centered services. Thanks to our innovative partnership with CityMD, our primary goal to increase access to high-quality health care for the entire Pacific Northwest region will soon become a reality.”
Each urgent care center will be staffed primarily by board certified emergency medicine doctors.
