A tour of the ShoWare Center in Kent will be part of a program about the city-owned arena sponsored by the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants.
The event is at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 20 at the ShoWare Center, 625 W. James St. The cost is $35, which includes breakfast, the program presentation and a behind-the-scenes tour of the arena.
Attendees are asked to register in advance at www.wscpa.org/public/catalog or call 425-644-4800.
The program will cover the development and financing of the center, the operations and marketing of the facility and the perspective of its primary tenant, the Seattle Thunderbirds junior hockey team.
The guest speakers include Bob Nachlinger – city of Kent director of financial services; Josh Holmes – ShoWare director of operations; Beth Sylves – ShoWare director of marketing; and Sean Runnels – Seattle Thunderbirds director of ticket sales.
