Golden State Foods (GSF), one of the largest diversified food processors and distributors in the country, recently awarded its Quality Custom Distribution Services, Inc. (QCD) Kent facility with its Best in Class award.
The award honors the achievements of three specific GSF business categories – Quality Custom Distribution, food processing and GSF distribution. The facility is at 18209 80th Ave. S.
QCD is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Golden States Foods.
The award was announced at the GSF Partners’ Feb. 13 meeting in California and was accepted by Ali Seyedi, QCD West operations and Starbucks executive sponsor, on behalf of the facility.
“We’re honored to present this award to QCD Kent for their notable achievements,” said Mark Wetterau, chairman and CEO of Golden State Foods. “Their excellent performance has been recognized by Starbucks, as well, where they received an award for their store delivery team on new concepts.”
“Winning this award is a testament to the hard work and teamwork of all the QCD Kent associates,” Seyedi said. “A team effort goes a long way, and it shows when we are recognized by our colleagues.”
