Steve Pickell is the new executive chef at the Airways Brewing Co. Bistro, 320 W. Harrison St., in downtown Kent.
He previously worked at fine dining establishments in Washington D.C., New York City and San Francisco. He also was an award-winning executive chef at Thornton Winery in Temecula, Calif., for 17 years.
Pickell plans to prepare locally inspired cuisine with an emphasis on using seasonal ingredients that pair with the variety of craft beers brewed by Airways Brewing.
