Kent’s Dynamic Partners – a consortium of organizations empowering children with special needs through innovation and collaboration – recently was awarded the silver medal for Washington’s Best Workplaces by the Puget Sound Business Journal.
“We put a lot of effort in to finding and hiring people who appreciate the culture and work environment that we have created. This award validates that we are on the right path,” said Jon Botten, CEO of Dynamic Partners. “Our employees truly are our most valuable asset, so I am very pleased they find our organization a rewarding place to work.”
Dynamic Partners has provided answers for King and Pierce county families whose children have special needs. Through individualized, family-centered therapy and early intervention services, its maximizes each child’s potential – giving them the skills that will help them today, while decreasing the need for future services.
Dynamic Partners is a consortium of four organizations – Children’s Therapy Center, SKIP Early Intervention, Dynamic Orthotic Systems, and SPIO Compression Orthoses – allowing it to provide families with a diversity of expertise and services with one centralized intake process, reducing service duplication and increasing efficiency and effectiveness through shared infrastructure, administration and fundraising efforts.
The Best Workplaces program was launched in 2007 to identify and recognize best practices in the hiring and retention of people. The process included more than 200 nominees and the completion of surveys by nominee-company employees throughout the state. Workplaces in four different categories were identified as Washington’s best, based on their various employee benefit offerings, leadership culture and work/life balance philosophies.
In total, 85 companies made the grade as finalists. The event, which drew nearly 1,100 people, announced and honored the companies on the list and revealed bronze, silver and gold winners for each category.
The finalists – 25 small companies, 25 medium-sized companies, 25 large companies, and 10 extra-large companies – were celebrated at an awards event at Safeco Field on Aug. 9. The celebration included ballpark food and drink, walking the bases, speed pitching and an awards presentation.
The Seattle Mariners surprised the company with the greatest number of employees present with a suite at a future game.
