Expect a complete legislative roundup at the Kent Chamber of Commerce’s April Membership Luncheon April 7 at the Meridian Valley Country Club.
Local legislators will be onhand to recap this year’s legislative session, in which officials have had the complex task of shoring up a $2.8 billion hole in the state budget.
Expect to hear from the following legislators: 47th District Sen. Claudia Kauffman, D-Kent; 33rd District Sen. Karen Keiser, D-Des Moines, 33rd District Rep. Tina Orwell, D-Des Moines, and 33rd District Rep. Dave Upthegrove, D-Des Moines.
The lunch runs 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the club, 24830 136th Ave S.E., Kent.
