The WordKrafters, a local Toastmasters Club, is hosting an area speech contest March 19 in Burien.
Toastmasters provides an opportunity for people in the Kent and Renton areas to sharpen their public speaking, active listening and leadership skills.
This year, the group is hosting their Area 44-46 speech contest at the Highline School ERAC building, 15675 Ambaum Blvd. S.W., Burien
The event is free and open to the public. Registration and a potluck dinner starts 6 p.m. and the contest is set to begin at 7 p.m.
