Mayor Suzette Cooke will deliver her annual State of the City Address March 4 at a luncheon sponsored by the Kent Chamber of Commerce at ShoWare Center, 625 West James St. The event begins at 11:30 a.m.
The mayor’s address will focus on public safety, the local economy and improving the quality of life for Kent residents. It is expected she will cover highlights and accomplishments from last year as well as key issues on the city’s agenda moving forward.
“It’s exciting to now be able to accommodate the broader community for this event,” said Andrea Keikkala, Executive Director of the Kent Chamber. “You don’t have to be a member of the Chamber to attend.”
The event cost is $30 per person. To register, visit www.kentchamber.com or contact Dana Krawchuk at 253-854-1770.
For those unable to attend, the address will be streamed live over the Internet at www.choosekent.com.
It also will be televised live on Kent’s local channel, TV21 and taped for later broadcast.
