Schlotzsky’s sandwich shop will have a grand opening at its new Kent location at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 10, at 10054 SE 256th St.

The Kent location is the first Schlotzsky’s location to open in the Seattle area, and the second location to open in the state of Washington. It has more than 350 locations worldwide.

“Washington represents an important part of Schlotzsky’s growth strategy, and we’re excited about the brand’s continued expansion into the Pacific Northwest region,” said Peter Ortiz, Schlotzsky’s vice president of franchise development in a media release. “Schlotzsky’s has become a top choice for some of the most successful multi-unit franchise owners in the country, so we’re excited to watch the brand grow in this new market due in large part to the talent of our franchisees.”

The Kent location is owned and operated by franchisees Peter Johns and Bret Stewart. This is the franchisees’ first joint operation, and they have plans to open six Schlotzsky’s in the Seattle area over the next several years. Stewart brings a wealth of franchise experience, and currently operates a Schlotzsky’s in Anchorage as well as 15 Auntie Anne’s Pretzel franchises.

The first 100 guests to purchase a CinnaPack of six Cinnabon Classic rolls will win one free small The Original sandwich every week for an entire year. The store will operate from 7 a.m.to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

The shop features hot sandwiches, gourmet pizzas, Artisan flat breads, handcrafted Macs, freshly made-to-order salads, savory soups and Cinnabon treats. For more information, visit schlotzskys.com.
