If you have an idea for a special drink there is a contest waiting for you.
The Kent Downtown Partnership will be featuring the Wine, Women and Wow! event from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10 and the Kent Reporter and the KDP are launching a signature drink recipe and naming contest to start the festivities early.
Here is the deal.
The contest has two categories. One is to create the best recipe for the signature drink and the other category is for the best name for the signature drink. There will be a winner for both the recipe and name of the drink. The drink will be available in the ManCave during the event where there will be video games, a 40-inch TV and cigars.
To enter the signature drink recipe and naming contest participants must be 21. The winner of each category in the contest will win a ticket to the Wine, Women and Wow! event and be recognized at the VIP hour. The value is $50 for each winner.
Send entries for the contest to barbaras@kentdowntown.org. The entries will be judged by the Wine, Women and Wow! committee and the Kent Reporter.
The deadline for the contest is midnight Aug. 26.
WINE, WOMEN, WOW!
- WHAT: The Wine, Women and Wow! event will feature Northwest wines, shopping, free pampering and the ManCave.

- ADMISSION: $25 in advance, $30 at the door and $50 VIP-hosted cocktail/wine party and horsd’oeuvres at 5 p.m. including one hour to visit booths before they are open to the public.
