Summer is a busy time at Department of Licensing (DOL) licensing service offices (LSOs), especially in densely populated locations such as Seattle where customer wait times have seen a recent increase.
Statewide, LSOs serve more than 33,000 customers per day and department data shows that at least 2,000 of them could have completed their transactions from the comfort of home using a smartphone, PC, laptop or tablet.
As part of an effort to reduce that statistic, DOL is promoting a catchy musical PSA that encourages customers to “Skip the Line and Renew Online” by visiting dol.wa.gov.
