For the Reporter
xpedx, a leading business-to-business distribution company in North America, has earned the ENERGY STAR® designation at its Kent location, 7011 S. 188th St.
The company, an “ENERGY STAR partner,” is committed to responsible stewardship of natural resources.
The ENERGY STAR designation is only given to buildings scoring in the top 25 percent of similar facilities nationwide for energy efficiency, based on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) energy performance rating system. The xpedx facility in Kent meets strict energy performance standards, uses less energy, is less expensive to operate and causes fewer greenhouse gas emissions than peer facilities.
“At xpedx, we strive to not only provide sustainable solutions to our customers, but also to maintain our own energy-efficient operations,” said David Wallace, xpedx director, sustainability.
