Mr. Stevens’ allegations (Kent Reporter, April 15) that the Kent School District and it’s “PAC” are dishonest and the families are getting “hoodwinked” are utterly false.
Mr. Stevens fails to understand the concept of continuing the current existing tax rate. The only way families in the KSD will pay more in school district taxes is if homes appreciate in their value.
If Mr. Stevens and other taxpayers in the KSD want to see the equity in their homes stay flat or diminish, then vote no.
If Mr. Stevens and other taxpayers in the KSD want to maintain their current tax rate for school bond and protect their property’s value, then please vote yes. I did.
