A letter writer recently wrote about the Rockstar Mayhem Festival (in Auburn). He felt the heavy metal including aggressive sounds and angry lyrics would corrupt our young people.
As a baby boomer, I listened to AC/DC but never turned gay. I listened to Ted Nugent but never got “Cat Scratch Fever.” I listened to KISS (Knights in Satan’s Service) and never worshipped Satan. In my 50s, I’m a happy well adjusted atheist.
Even the Captain and Tennille could not coax me into beastiality with their disgusting ballad “Muskrat Love.” It was just music. None of use physically “did the jitterbug in muskratland.”
As Bart Simpson would say, “Don’t have a cow, man.”
