In regard to the page 1 Dec. 12 article “Law community turns out for tribute.”
The four assassinated Lakewood police officers did not die in vain. They’ve lost their precious lives in the service of others.
They’ve courageously responded the call of Horace Mann, one of Americas greatest educator, who once said, “Be ashamed to die until you have won some victory for humanity.”
Perhaps they were all still be alive heretofore, had they not chosen to take this precarious job of being law enforcers. But thank God, that is not their callings.
They were meant to give up their hearts and souls for the welfare and safety of the community. So therefore, these four fallen heroes genuinely deserve our love and care for the heroic deeds that they have shown.
They may be dead physically, but their greatness will forever be alive in our hearts and minds.
Thank you Editor. Keep up the good work.
