Mary Alice Heuschel has the integrity for job | Letter

It has been my pleasure to work with Mary Alice Heuschel over the past two and a half years in our shared leadership roles as superintendents of our respective school districts.

As a colleague, I can attest to Heuschel’s expertise, leadership and extensive experience responsibly managing tax dollars and being accountable to the public. In our superintendent roles, one major responsibility includes service to our communities. Mary Alice’s work as a hospital commissioner will enhance her ability to continue her exceptional leadership as the superintendent of the Renton School District and support all of us regionally.

In the Kent School District sharing a border with the Renton School District has allowed me to work closely with Superintendent Heuschel on a variety of issues and see firsthand her leadership, passion and commitment to our communities.  Heuschel understands the crucial link between healthy families and student success in school. In addition to her demonstrated financial integrity, Mary Alice is an award-winning leader, as evidenced by her selection as Superintendent of the Year for the state of Washington in 2011, and someone who will make a positive difference for our community serving on the Valley Medical board.  A vote for Mary Alice Heuschel for Public Hospital Commissioner would extend the caring, passionate and dedicated leadership she brings to our area, and enhance her positive impact to an even broader community.
