McCain the logical choice for president

While I now live in Kent, Arizona was my home for 49 years and have met John McCain many times. I may disagree with the senator on some issues, but I found Rev. Miller’s hate-filled attack on John McCain so full of falsehoods and mean-spirited innuendo as to be personally offensive.

While I now live in Kent, Arizona was my home for 49 years and have met John McCain many times. I may disagree with the senator on some issues, but I found Rev. Miller’s hate-filled attack on John McCain so full of falsehoods and mean-spirited innuendo as to be personally offensive.

I will only mention the easily verified statements in the “Right” Reverend’s letter.

The first was that Sen. McCain supposedly “started an affair” “shortly after” his wife had an accident.

His first wife’s horrific accident was in 1969, and Sen McCain did not meet his current wife until 1979. Hello?

If Sen. McCain supposedly so-abused his first wife, why is she still friendly with him and why has she continued to campaign for him? I met her during a rally a decade ago.

And, if that smear attempt were not enough, the “Reverend” Keller has the unmitigated gall and hypocrisy to also attack John McCain on the subject of torture. I have to question the extent of the Right Rev. Keller’s knowledge on this topic.

How many times has the Reverend been held down and bayoneted, had his bones crushed with blows from rifle butts and clubs? All that and then hung by his arms until his shoulders dislocated? On a regular basis over five years in the Hanoi Hilton? The Senior Senator has more experience and knowledge on this topic than any other person in government! On this subject I yield to the Senator from Arizona…
