Recent letters to the editor have expressed frustration over the City Council's decision to delay adoption of a fireworks ban.
I agree with the letters written by Bob Schutzer, Greg Honeycutt, Merle Barnes, George Deering and Rodney Mack as to why a further study to ban fireworks in Kent is needed.
A very big Thanks to HomeStreet Bank for being our sponsor of Hope for Families event last.
I read with some disappointment the (Nov. 20) article on the City Council's decision to postpone a ban on fireworks for Kent for further review.
I do not understand what is to discuss concerning banning fireworks in the city of Kent. The City Council has no problem raising taxes without an "advisory vote," but fails to follow the clear direction of all who voted.
Les Thomas's comment on fireworks makes no sense at all
After the Kent voters overwhelmingly (66 percent) voted to ban fireworks, the City Council now wants to "study the matter further." Really?

Is Kent doing its part to help use clean energy on the small scale?

It is close to criminal how our property taxes are rising, not including proposals for hikes not yet in effect.
The last few weeks have put my family in a tailspin. When the Washington Supreme Court ruled that public charter schools were unconstitutional, we were in a state of shock.
The statement in favor of a fireworks ban in Kent and several letters to the editor have mentioned individuals with PTSD as a reason fireworks should be banned in Kent.
I’m a white, middle-aged mother of two, and I’m voting for Hira Bhullar for Kent City Council Position 1.
I have known Toni Troutner for approximately 10 years. We met through PTA and developed a friendship through our mutual goal of helping the children in our community.
Toni Troutner has my vote for Kent City Council. It is important to me to have a representative that has a proven work ethic and demonstrated commitment to this community.
