Quilting columnist’s got ‘verve’

Array

I was just going to try to e-mail you about Ms. Becker’s first column – to sing her praises! I’d clipped it out of the Kent Reporter way back on July 22, and finally got to reading it just yesterday. I spent the whole day noticing I was writing e-mails fueled by her enthusiastic verve. What energy she imparts in her writing! Bravo!

Now, I KNOW you’re going to forward my praises to her, so would you also please let her know about the sewing retreat that’s been going on at Camp Burton on Vashon Island for the last 25 years? It’s a great group of about 65 ladies who get together every late September (and some of them again in early May, too) for three to four days of sewing, visiting, collaborating, eating, and just plain rejuvenating! Perhaps she could get the word out about this GREAT camp! More information is at www.sewhow.com

Thanks again for a WONDERFUL new column – and columnist! I so enjoy your newspaper and its hometown approach.
