Statewide ban on fireworks needed /Letter

In response to the letter ("Noise at raceway a continuing problem," May 13): Talk about noise, what about fireworks? I'd like to see a statewide ban, which only some cities have, why not the whole state?

In response to the letter (“Noise at raceway a continuing problem,” May 13):

Talk about noise, what about fireworks? I’d like to see a statewide ban, which only some cities have, why not the whole state?

Enough people have complained, not just me. Some people have to get up early to go to work, others have nerves and can’t handle it.

Does anybody even care? What about property damage and a big mess left at the old Park and Ride? Do they ever get cited for littering?

We worry about bombs and terrorists yet provide a place to buy ammunition, i.e. “Times Square bomber.”

Funny how people complain about gas and food prices yet spend hundreds of dollars on fireworks without complaining.

I’ll spend my money wisely, thank you.
