I would like to suggest a way that the Kent School District could increase school security.
Ban book bags and backpacks.
At each school building have an entrance where necessary bags, brief cases, boxes, etc., would pass through a search (similar to searches for concerts and sporting events) that would be performed by school security or a volunteer. Any illegal contraband or weapons would be seized along with the person carrying them and turned over to law enforcement. Maybe if we remove the means to conceal contraband and weapons, we can reduce the methods of violence.
