Thanks to all the polite drivers on Kent-Kangley | Letter

I wanted to say thanks to all the polite Kent drivers who make it pleasant to bike along Kent-Kangley road. I even had an 18 wheeler switch lanes so as to not crowd me. As a driver, I know it takes patience to pass a bicyclist hugging the shoulder on a narrow road.

Thanks also to those who don’t throw out bottles and the street cleaners who’ve made it safe to bicycle for fun, for health and for the environment.

I ask my fellow bicyclists to wear your helmets. I’ve seen friends in the hospital from just falling over while standing still.  Do be nice to the drivers by staying as far to the right as is safely possible.  We want to be as predictable as possible so the drivers are not confused or stressed.

Again, thanks to all the polite drivers.
