The health-insurance fiasco of America

A writer on Jan. 16 wrote that the Democrates are oppressive, are socialists, they ignore the Constitution and will turn the health-insurance police loose to drag you from your home if you haven't paid the premium, not to mention kill Democracy.

The end is near! Better call Batman!!!

Let’s look at the bright side. In theory we have a two-party government: Republicans, Democrats and a few that go whichever way the political winds are blowing. The bottom line is that we have the best politicians corporate money can buy. Isn’t that great!

They all do a fine job helping health-insurance industry extract as much money as possible from the public and do nothing to regulate rejected claims, such as claiming pre-existing conditions that were not diagnosed prior to the policy issue and misrepresentation.

Wellpoint, Aetna and United CEOs’ combined compensation is $37,389,166: that’s just salary.

They, with the rest of the fat cats sent $20 million to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce to fight any and all changes to their turf. Guess where that money went?

Recruited Rush (Oxicontin) Lumblast, Sarah (I can see Russia) Palen, Tea baggers, and various assorted right wingnuts to preach to their sheeple about all the evil health care changers.

I doubt that any substantial and or real change will take place by the time it’s all said and done.

In the meantime, using the Department of Labor M6 gauge of unemployment puts the real rate at approx. 18 percent, and or 25 million looking for a job and health coverage.

Millions are being financially wiped out and see family and friends die because of no insurance, extremely limited insurance or policy caps. Can’t happen to me, right?

Millions are turning up in hospital emergency rooms every year with no insurance. Guess who is paying for that? I’ll give you a hint, it starts with a T. and runs into the billions.

Anybody have a really good idea?
