Catch “A Fiddler’s Feast,” featuring Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas as well as Jay Ungar and Molly Mason at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 26 at the Kent-Meridian Performing Arts Center, 10020 SE 256th St.
Fiddlers share the stage, delivering everything from Scottish dance music to a wide range of American roots genres, and tunes ranging from poignant to sizzling.
Fraser has long been regarded as Scotland’s premier fiddle ambassador, and Haas is a talented, young, Julliard-trained cellist. Ungar and Mason achieved international acclaim when their performance of Jay’s composition Ashokan Farewell became the musical hallmark of Ken Burns’ “The Civil War” on PBS.
Tickets are $28 for general admission, $25 for senior citizens and $15 for youth.
The concert is part of the city of Kent Spotlight Series events. Visit KentArts.com or call 253-856-5051 for tickets and more information.
