A group of exchange students from Tamba City, Japan, have been getting their first taste of American culture this week.
Working through the Kent-Auburn-Tamba Sister Cities Organization, the seven students and their chaperone have been staying with families of students in the Kent and Auburn areas.
And later this month, the seven American students who have hosted them will visit the communities of Tamba City, Japan for a 10-day trip.
Wednesday was a busy day for the group of students, their host families and local officials Auburn Mayor Pete Lewis, and Kent Mayor Suzette Cooke. The two mayors hosted City Hall visits by the students, as well as attending a welcome banquet in Auburn.
Check out their visit with this slide show, and stay tuned for additional updates.
