Seattle-based The Senate, a trio that creates a musical hybrid that pushes the boundaries of acoustic rock, plays at the city of Kent’s Thursdays at the Lake concert from 7-8:30 p.m. on Aug. 7 at Lake Meridian Park.

People are welcome to bring picnics, blankets and chairs to enjoy the free concert at the park, 14800 S.E. 272nd St.
