Parents and their children can listen to the music of Caspar Babypants at the city of Kent’s Wednesday Picnic Performances from noon to 1 p.m. July 14 at Town Square Plaza Park, Second Avenue and Harrison Street in downtown Kent.
Babypants, whose real name is Chris Ballew, mixes old folk songs with good time rock ‘n’ roll to entertain families. Ballew, of Seattle, helped form and was the front man for The Presidents of the United States of America band that had a No. 1 single “Lump” on Billboard’s Modern Rock charts in 1995. The free Picnic Performances are scheduled each Wednesday through Aug. 4.
