The fall portion of the city of Kent’s 2020-2021 Spotlight Series has been canceled due to the current phased approach for reopening the state due to COVID-19.
“Although we’re disappointed that we cannot come together this fall to enjoy the incredible performances that were scheduled, each of the canceled concerts has been rescheduled for fall 2021,” according to a Aug. 5 Facebook post by the city of Kent Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department.
The city also canceled its summer concerts at Lake Meridian Park because of COVID-19.
“We are still hoping to present a smaller Spotlight Series season with the first concert scheduled for late 2020 or early 2021, if state and local guidelines allow,” according to the Facebook post.
City staff wants residents to take a short survey as they look to plan events during these unprecedented times.
