Comedian Alysia Wood, of Los Angeles, will perform at 7 p.m. Wednesday June 1 at Pat’s Bar and Grill, 114 Railroad Ave., in downtown Kent.
Wood grew up in Louisiana and performed comedy in Seattle before moving to Los Angeles. Budd Friedman, founder of the Improv chain, called Wood, “America’s next funniest comedian,” after her at Harrah’s Improv in Las Vegas in 2010, according to the website www.alysiawood.com.
Tickets are $10 in advance and are available at Pat’s. Reservations are strongly recommended.

Pat’s also offers music each Friday and Saturday from 8 p.m. to midnight including Soul Syndrome on June 3, 3rd Degree Burn June 4, Boneyard June 10 and Soul Stripper, an AC/DC cover band, on June 11. There is no cover charge for most bands, although the cover is $5 for Soul Stripper.
