Singers, dancers and a big band orchestra will present “In the Mood,” a 1940s musical 7:30 p.m. Feb. 20 at the Kentwood High School Performing Arts Center, 25800 164th Ave. S.E., in Covington.
The performance by the Virginia-based group features the music of Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Artie Shaw, Benny Goodman, Harry James, Erskin Hawkins, The Andrews Sisters, Frank Sinatra and others. Authentic costumes and choreography help put the finishing touches on re-creating the sentimental and romantic era of the 1940s.Tickets are $28 general, $26 ages 55 and older and $20 ages 25 and younger.
