One lucky fan will get quite the gift when he or she enters Kent’s ShoWare Center on Friday night for the Seattle Thunderbirds hockey game.
ShoWare Center will welcome its one millionth guest as the T-Birds play the Tri-City Americans at 7:35 p.m. That guest will receive two free tickets to every event at the arena for one year.
“How exciting… ShoWare Center is welcoming its one millionth guest in less than three years of operation,” said Kent Mayor Suzette Cooke. “Congratulations to the lucky winner. Here’s to the next millionth.”
The millionth guest also will receive the honor of dropping the puck at center ice before T-Birds against Americans game.
Since opening in January 2009, the city-owned arena has hosted sporting events, concerts, family shows, community gatherings, corporate functions and more.
