Hong’s classical training and a background in skateboarding, snowboarding, martial arts, and video games forms a creative force unmatched with its youthful vivacity and boundless energy, according to his Web site.
Hong is a native of Michigan and made his orchestral debut with the Kalamazoo (Mich.) Symphony at the age of 10. He moved to Los Angeles soon after.
