SilverSounds Northwest, a rock ‘n’ roll choir with more than 50 members who are aged 50 or older, will perform from 6:15 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22, at the Kent Senior Center.

The Burien-based choir’s fifth annual performance is a fundraiser for the Senior Center lunch program.

Stafford Suites will provide a complimentary dessert at the beginning of the show. The fundraiser will help subsidize the costs of low-priced homemade lunches at the Senior Center.

Tickets are available for a donation of any amount and can be purchased at the Senior Center, 600 E. Smith Street or by phone on weekdays at 253-856-5150 with MC/Visa.

The Senior Center provides lunches on weekdays, 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m., to people of all ages. Meals on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays are $7 each. Wednesday meals are $6 per person. All meals include homemade dessert, coffee, tea or milk.

For more information, visit KentWA.gov or call 253-856-5164.
