Rock Steady Boxing South King County hosts a representative from the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research for a special conversation Aug. 14 at Green River College.
The boxing club invites members and care-partners, visitors and those who find themselves navigating the disease to join them for the discussion from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Student Union Building, 12401 SE 320th St, Auburn.
Mary McQuillen, associate director for advancement with the Michael J. Fox Foundation, will discuss the following topics:
• an overview of MJFF’s mission and business model;
• an update on promising Parkinson’s disease research;
• a look at the latest symptomatic treatments on the market and those under FDA approval;
• and information on how to get involved with clinical research through Fox Trial Finder and Fox Insight.
