Seattle Theatre Group presents a new dance program, STG’s Broadway at Kent, at the Kent Senior Activity Center.
Participants are invited to take 90-minute classes inspired by Broadway shows being presented at the Paramount Theatre, such as “The Color Purple.” which opens June 27.
The first dance workshop, Class No. 65920, is Friday, June 15, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. in the center’s Social Hall, 600 E. Smith St. Seattle dance choreographer Nikki Long, who has lived and danced all over the world, teaches the class.
The workshop is open to students 14 and older as well as adults and seniors. Pre-registration is required and the $5 fee may be paid in person or by phone at 253-856-5150 weekdays with a Mastercard or Visa.
Participants must sign a waiver form before class begins. All who complete the workshop may receive information on how to acquire a code for discount tickets to the Paramount Theatre’s Production of “The Color Purple.”
