The Washington Beer Commission host its sixth annual South Sound Winter Beer Festival on Saturday, Nov. 9, at its new venue, the Mattress Firm Showplex at the Washington State Fairgrounds, 110 Ninth Ave. SW, Puyallup.
The festival features some of the first tastes of winter beers from 27 Washington breweries. Sample seasonal favorites such as dark imperial stouts, roasty porters, strong beers, Scottish ales, barrel-aged surprises, spiced ales, piney IPAs and many more creative brews for the early winter season.
The tasting session runs from noon to 6 p.m.
Admission is $20 in advance, $25 at the door and includes a commemorative tasting cup along with eight 4-ounce sample tastes. Additional tastes will be available for purchase at $2 each.
