The Master Builders Association, db General Contractors and volunteers recently donated their time and effort to build a ramp for Jo Jo, a 3-year-old Kent boy who suffers from severe cerebral palsy.
The new ramp will give Jo Jo and his wheelchair more mobility around his home. His foster care family is in the process of adopting him.
Thirty-seven families throughout King and Snohomish counties received the gift of greater mobility through the addition of new ramps during the one-day Master Builders Association Rampathon on May 21. This year’s effort represented the largest Rampathon in the 23-year history of the event. More than 370 ramps have been built and $1.7 million of in-kind donations have been provided since 1993.
Each spring the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish counties and its members make home improvements for family members who may be struggling with disabilities or have difficulty getting in and out of their homes.
