One man is dead and another man injured after two cars collided on South 277th Street, just west of West Valley Highway, early Tuesday morning, the King County Sheriff’s Office reported.
Witnesses told police that a van was headed eastbound and crossed the center lane, striking a westbound car around 6 a.m..
The man driving the van was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was taken to Multicare Auburn Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. No other occupants were in the vehicles.
At least one witness told police that prior to the accident the van had been driven erratically. The names ages and hometowns of the victims are not known at this time.
