State Attorney General Bob Ferguson will speak at the Rotary Club of Kent meeting at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11 at the ShoWare Center, 625 W. James St.
The club will open the meeting to the public to hear Ferguson talk about protecting consumers, youth, seniors, veterans and the environment as well as keeping communities safer. Ferguson is running for reelection against Libertarian Joshua Trumball on the Nov. 8 ballot.
The cost is $18 for lunch and attendees can pay at the door.
Since 1958, the Rotary Club of Kent and the Rotary Club of Kent Foundation have been serving the greater Kent community with the motto of “Service Above Self.” The group distributes scholarships, backpacks filled with food, international assistance, recognizes stellar students, mentors up and coming talent, provides nonprofit grants, works to end polio and helps local business owners and leaders focused on networking and growing the Kent community.
