The Community Network Council hosts Believe, Achieve, and Thrive – a youth and family celebration – on Saturday, March 9 at Kent Masonic Hall, 805 E. Smith St.
Special guest is Eddie Moore, Jr. , author of “The Guide For White Women Who Teach Black Boys,” who will deliver the keynote address.
The event is sponsored by the CNC Cultural Enrichment Program, which aims to make the connection between the power of African-American history and the education of youth. The program aims to increase the self-esteem and well-being of youth by focusing on cultural identity and pride.
The celebration will include speakers, a step performance and food.
It is free and open to all. Tickets can be reserved on Eventbrite.
The Community Network Council is a group of volunteers and community organizations working cooperatively to connect youth and families with resources.
