If you’re looking for a way to dispose of a Christmas tree, Boy Scout troops will collect and recycle trees from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 5, in Kent neighborhoods.
Place the tree out at the curb by 8 a.m. Saturday, according to the city of Kent. If you prefer to deliver the tree yourself, bring it to the Service Club Ball Field Park, 14608 SE 288th Street. Scouts will be on hand to unload trees.
This long running program helps keep trees out of landfills and provides a stockpile of chips for use by the City Parks Department.
