A large brush fire broke out early Wednesday afternoon between the northbound and southbound lanes of Interstate 5 near South 188th Street and South 200th Street, according to Kent Fire Department officials.
Firefighters from several agencies, including Kent, are battling the blaze.
Two left lanes were blocked southbound at South 200th Street at about 1:19 p.m., according to the state Department of Transportation Web site.
