Fans can catch the Sounder train Saturday in Kent to travel to the Seahawks playoff game.

Fans of the Seattle Seahawks can take Sounder trains, which includes stops in Kent, to the playoff game on Sunday, Jan. 19 at CenturyLink Field.

Fans can skip traffic and parking fees and board Sound Transit’s popular trains to the Seahawks 3:30 p.m. game against the San Francisco 49ers. Special Sounder service will run in addition to regular Link light rail service to and from the stadiums.

The cost is $3.50 for a one-way fare from Kent to Seattle.

Inbound trains from the south depart Lakewood at 11:50 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. and Sumner at 12:37 p.m. The first train leaving Lakewood is an express service that stops in South Tacoma, Tacoma and Puyallup before continuing directly to Seattle, where it arrives at King Street Station at 12:57 p.m. The second train departs Sumner at 12:37 p.m. with stops in Auburn, Kent and Tukwila before reaching Seattle at 1:19 p.m. A third train leaves Lakewood at 12:30 and stops at all southline Sounder stations before arriving at King Street Station at 1:43 p.m.

Fans should note train departure times after the game. Return trains to Lakewood will depart King Street Station 10, 20 and 45 minutes after the game. An online schedule of Sounder trains serving Seahawks games is available at http://www.soundtransit.org/Schedules/Event-services/Seahawks.

Link light rail serves 13 stations in downtown Seattle, SODO, Beacon Hill, Rainier Valley, Tukwila and SeaTac. Link’s Stadium Station is a four-block walk from CenturyLink Field.

For complete Sounder and Link schedule information, please go to www.soundtransit.org/schedule.

Regular fares will apply for all Sound Transit services. ORCA and all standing transit passes will be accepted.  Getting an ORCA card is a great way to skip lines at ticket vending machines. Cards only cost $5 for adults, plus whatever amount a rider chooses to load in the card’s E-Purse or the cost of a pass that is good for unlimited transit trips. ORCA works on trains, buses and ferries throughout the region. More information is available at www.orcacard.com.
