CBS Radio Seattle to air T-Birds games on 1090 The Fan; 3-year deal

The Seattle Thunderbirds and CBS Radio Seattle have entered into a three-year partnership agreement to broadcast T-Birds games.

The Seattle Thunderbirds and CBS Radio Seattle have entered into a three-year partnership agreement to broadcast T-Birds games.

For the next three seasons, all T-Birds regular season and playoff games will be broadcast on 1090 The Fan and streamed on 1090TheFan.com and the Seattle Thunderbirds website – seattlethunderbirds.com.

1090 The Fan also will be broadcasting a half-hour Coach’s Show with T-Birds  coach Steve Konowalchuk every Tuesday during the season from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Host Bill Swartz will take a weekly in-depth look at the T-Birds. The first Coach’s Show will be Tuesday, Sept. 16.

As part of the partnership agreement, the FM stations of CBS Radio Seattle, 94.1 KMPS, 102.5 KZOK and 96.5 JACK FM, will be heavily involved with the T-Birds promotional and giveaway nights this season.

Konowalchuk is starting his fourth season as coach of the Thunderbirds. Last season the T-Birds advanced to the second round of the playoffs under his guidance.

Anticipated dates of Coach’s Show:

• Sept. 16, 23, 30

• Oct. 7, 14, 21, 28

• Nov. 4, 11, 18, 25

• Dec. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30

• Jan. 6, 13, 20, 27

• Feb. 3, 10, 17, 24

• March 3, 10, 17

Playoff shows will be determined by playoff schedule.
