As Kent Lutheran Church prepares to celebrate its 125th anniversary this fall, a search is under way for extended members of the founding families so they can be property recognized during the festivities.
The public is being asked to help in the search by contacting the church with any information they may have relative to those descendants of the following: Nils Barnes, Ole Oie, Louis Lee and Charles Ramstead.
Other charter members included Ove Quam, Magnus Peterson, John Berg, E. M. Berg, Hans Hougen, Thomas Thompson, Zakarias Swanson and E. G. Westerdal.
The 125th anniversary celebration begins in August and continues through January with special dinners and worship events marking special dates in the life of the church.
Those with information about these families are asked to contact the church at 253-852-2057 or KLCoffice@KentLutheran.org.
