Josh Cinkovich, a sophomore at Kentridge High School, achieved his Eagle Scout award Jan. 14. Cinkovich is a Boy Scout with Troop 453. The troop meets at Kent Covenant Church.

Cinkovich’s Eagle project was to build a kiosk at Morrill Meadows Park for the Kent Parks Department. He was able to get 100 percent of the materials needed for his project donated by local businesses. Kent Home Depot donated all the hardware for the project. Tyee Lumber in Auburn donated lumber for the kiosk, as did TRM Lumber in Maple Valley. Twins Plastics came through with a donation of Plexiglas to finish off the project. The kiosk was completed Oct. 19, 2008. Josh and his parents want to thank these local businesses for their support.

Josh’s Eagle Board of Review took place Jan. 14 at the Fire Station offices located on 116th in Kent. People serving on his Board of Review were, Fire Chief Dominic Marzano, former Cub Scout leader Ann O’Keefe, Scoutmaster Scott Whitmire, committee member Jeff Tuchek, Soos Creek Elementary Principal Patty Drobny, and Chief Seattle Counsel BSA John Rosenlund.
